The Department of Chemical Engineering at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology offers a rigorous and application-oriented B.E. Chemical Engineering programme that combines mathematics, chemistry, natural sciences, and engineering principles. The curriculum integrates strong theoretical foundations with laboratory learning, computational tools, industry-oriented projects, field visits, industrial training, and capstone experiences, preparing students to solve complex engineering challenges across diverse industries. Students build expertise in transport phenomena, thermodynamics, reaction engineering, process design, process control, and emerging focus areas including petroleum, energy, materials, and chemical process engineering.
